The bibliometric/scientometric experts of the In-Forest team from CWTS and CREST used the first two days to jointly explore descriptive statistics, refine models and run statistical texts for analyses conducted as part of WP1. The third day was used to discuss approaches in a wider group, as well as to further conceptualise and revise papers in progress emerging from both the quantitative and qualitative project components.
On the last day, a hybrid session was held with Dr. Amani Uisso and Shizuku Sunagawa to advance the framework for a comparative content analysis of scientific publications from international datasets and a Tanzanian database of forest research publications compiled as part of the project. The In-Forest team will present preliminary results from this analysis at the 28th International Conference on Science, Technology and Innovation Indicators which will take place from 18-20 September 2024 in Berlin.
